Helen

Helen has over 30 years’ experience supporting children and young people presenting with a range of diagnosis such as Neuromuscular diseases, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder and learning disabilities. She is motivated to provide positive results and improve the children and young person’s quality of life by maximising their potential. Helen will collaborate with parents and carers to establish achievable goals.

She has worked in roles to provide a specialist service for major and minor adaptations, and equipment to meet the needs of children and young people with complex health, physical and learning disabilities. She has experience working in the clients  home, school and/or college environments to facilitate maximum independence.

Throughout her career she has gained experience within moving and handling and can complete detailed risk assessments. Helen has a broad knowledge around slings and hoists to find the best solutions for her clients moving and handling needs. She has a detailed knowledge around specialist seating and seating and posture solutions, such as specialist tilt in space chairs and specific postural supports.
