Joanne

Jo is a highly skilled occupational therapist, qualifying in 2002 from the University of Liverpool. She gained experience in the NHS, where she specialised in the area of neurological rehabilitation and also gained experience in orthopaedic and general rehabilitation. Jo has focused fully on working with clients in independent practice since 2018. Jo is committed to supporting her clients in meeting their treatment goals and maximising their independence.

As a therapist, Jo is highly skilled in working with clients within their own homes and community settings, providing detailed assessments and reports, and devising and implementing goal-focused rehabilitation programmes. She is committed to working with these clients to reach their own rehabilitation goals using a holistic approach. Her training includes sleep and fatigue management, splinting, hand therapy, normal movement approaches, cognitive rehabilitation, postural management, motivational interviewing and vocational rehabilitation. Jo also has experience of assessing clients within their workplace, to identify their rehabilitation needs to support their return to employment.
