Karen

Karen is a motivated, enthusiastic and a creative occupational therapist who has experience working with paediatrics to adults, from mild to complex needs. Karen completes risk assessments including positive risk assessment to remain client centred. She specialises in equipment, housing, minor and major adaptations and design, moving and handling for all complex client groups including orthopaedic injuries and neurological diagnoses.  Her experience as a case manager for those with neurological injuries, allows her to seamlessly fit into an MDT and to implement shared goals.

Karen completes client-centred assessments at home, work or in schools to produce a comprehensive report of functional needs and abilities, with detailed clinical reasoning and recommendations for adaptations and/or equipment for the medico-legal sector, working alongside case managers and solicitors. In addition, Karen completes work-based ergonomic assessments and vocational assessments.
