Kerry
Kerry graduated as an occupational therapist in 2014, later completing an MSc in Professional Health and Social Care in 2021. Kerry has worked in NHS services since graduation, initially in a large acute hospital with a range of regional specialist services including acute surgery, acute stroke and neurology.
Much of Kerry’s professional experience relates to wheelchairs and posture management in seated. This specialist area though sits alongside any health condition with a long-term mobility need so she has experience working with clients with a range of neurological, neuro-developmental, and neuro-muscular conditions, as well as orthopaedic, respiratory, and vascular conditions working mainly in the community.
Posture management impacts all areas of health, and she has worked to minimise the risk of pressure related injury in clients, making recommendations for 24-hour postural management as appropriate.
