Kirstie
With a 20-year career in health and social care, Kirstie has held a variety of roles supporting people to live safe, well, and fulfilled lives. As an occupational therapist Kirstie has experience of physical and mental health services, gaining experience in moving and handling, provision of equipment and minor adaptations, through to the management of mental well-being, cognitive impairment and other age-related changes.
Kirstie frequently delivers guest lectures, professional development sessions, conference presentations and consultancy across the country. She is an accomplished writer having been published in peer-reviewed journals, magazines and other professional publications, writing on topics from technology and gaming to sport for well-being, and the use of social media within occupational therapy.
In addition to being a HCPC registered occupational therapist, Kirstie is a qualified personal trainer, certified Pilates instructor, and holds a Level 4 Key Trainer qualification in the Moving and Handling of People. Kirstie is the current learning and development lead for the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Social Care network.
