Ruth

Ruth has over 20 years’ experience in social care roles, working with adults, children and young people with disabilities, both as a practitioner and in a leadership role. Ruth’s specialities include adaptations and prescription of specialist equipment with a focus on reduction of or minimising the impact of restrictive practices, by developing ways of evidencing professional and clinical reasoning associated with recommendations.

Ruth is passionate about the promotion of occupational therapy and is actively involved with supporting those entering occupational therapy practice, or new to the specialism of adaptations, through publications, lecturing and presentations at conferences.
