Mari qualified as an Occupational Therapist in Finland in 1996 and has 23 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist including several years as a Practice Manager and Senior OT.  She has worked in Social Services, Reablement, Hospital and Community settings with a wide range of client groups in areas of Neurology, Paediatrics, Medical, Orthopaedic and Burns. She has gained work experience in Finland, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom (since 2003) which has given her the opportunity to work with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds.

Mari is experienced in working with people experiencing complex health and social care needs. She carries out holistic assessments recommending specialist equipment, minor and major adaptations, specialist seating and positioning solutions. She is also experienced in recommendations for rehousing, manual handling assessments and rationalising care packages. During her working career she has developed high level problem solving and clinical reasoning skills.

Mari has supervisory experience with Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy assistants, OT students as well as Sensory Impairment staff. She is a highly skilled clinician with supervisory and management experience evident throughout her career.

Mari is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists and she is registered with the Health Care Professionals Council.”
